What is a Coating?

 

What are the benefits of Coating my car?

Ceramic coatings are an ultra thin layer of liquid polymer that chemically bonds to paint and other surfaces, providing a durable, long-lasting layer of protection. It gives years of hydrophobic water beading and self cleaning performance, whereas waxes and sealants sit on top of the surface and fail after only weeks or months.

Advanced nano compounds (SiO2, SiC, Polysilazane, Nano Diamonds, etc.) offer genuine scratch resistance, while traditional products only deliver temporary shine with minimal protection.

  • Chemical resistance - Does not break down when exposed to most chemicals, like you see at a touchless wash, for example.

What is included in a coating package?

-Everything that is a part of the exterior plus package.

  • Hand wash and Dry
  • Decontamination steps to remove bugs, tar, sap, fallout, and rail dust/ iron deposits and mineral deposits
  • Paintwork Clayed to Smooth Finish
  • 1 step polish to remove light scratches and brighten paintwork
  • Wheels / Tires / wheel wells cleaned
  • Windows cleaned and polished

-Adhesion Primer Polish to ensure a clean oil free surface for the coating to adhere to.

-Almost every part of the vehicle gets coated. All paint, side and rear glass, wheel faces, trim, etc.

​-Front windshield is cleaned, polished, than a specific coating to better hold up against abuse from wiper usage is applied.

-Tires deep cleaned and coated (generally last about a year)

If your paint needs additional attention to remove swirls, scratches, haze, or other defects, please inquire about additional paint correction services.

 

How to Maintain your coating

    The best option is to continue bringing your vehicle to us for regular car washes and/or yearly decontamination and inspection. The next best is maintaining your vehicle yourself. We carry the products needed, and can provide the knowledge to do so. If you decide to utilize automatic car washes as your maintenance option, we recommend touchless options because a coating can defend against chemicals better than brushed washes abrasion or damage.

 

Do you offer a Warranty?

     The longevity of a coating relies on maintenance. A coating can easily fail when abused and can also easily outlast its durability rating with proper care. Many places, especially dealerships, offer a warranty as a selling point. But when you look into what they really cover, the reality often can be disappointing. Instead, I use the most advanced coatings available that deliver real protection, performance, and results. So while I don't offer a warranty, I instead offer a guarantee. I guarantee craftsmanship, quality, and the best products available. And if you choose to maintain your vehicle with us at least yearly, I can monitor its performance. Then if your coating fails prematurely, ill make it right. No need for fine print. Just results, and someone who will stand behind their work.

Q How long does it take?

All exterior coating packages can be completed and ready to pickup within a single day -unless combined with other services, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

Q How often do i need to wax my vehicle?

You do not need to wax or top your coating, saving you time and money.

 

Q - So what is the difference between coatings?

Higher tiers offer longer term protection, better long term value and increases in durability, depth of gloss, chemical resistance.

 

Q Can I take my vehicle through the automatic carwash?

Yes, but we do not recommend it. Brushed car washes accelerate the wear on the coating and risks swirling and scratching to your paint's finish.
